Happy Birthday, Sam. Here's hoping the next time you're at the Boston Opera House, it will be on the stage rather than in the audience!

Thanks for the find. That was great!
Re: Sam Faulkner: Billy - Ogunquit and Raleigh
I remember reading where Sam participated last September in a reading of the show "The Me Nobody Knows," which was originally produced on Broadway - or maybe off-Broadway - in the early 1970's I believe. Taye Diggs was one of the other actors involved in this project along with Sam, and it said they were hoping the show would go to Broadway at some point. I know several of the other Billys have taken part in readings of shows from time to time, but I never have completely understood what a "reading" is. Can someone shine some light on this topic for me ?
Re: Sam Faulkner: Billy - Ogunquit and Raleigh
A reading is a form of workshop, something often done in preparation for a full production. The actors will be familiar with their lines, but will not have memorized them, so they will read from a script. There are minimal or no sets or costumes. Actors may be seated or standing and there will be little if any movement around the stage. Stage directions may be read by a narrator. A reading is an inexpensive way to get a theatrical work in front of an audience, perhaps to gain audience feedback or to generate interest from investors.

Cool, thanks. Hopefully the show will head to Broadway with Sam in the cast.
