The Tony Awards Preview Concert that took place earlier this month will be broadcast on WCBS-TV Channel 2 this evening at 7 ET. Carole Shelley performed as part of it. Can someone record and post it, or at least Carole's part of it, please?

Carole will be interviewed on Monday, May 17, by journalist and theatre critic, Don Shewey. The free program, sponsored by the League of Professional Theatre Women, will take place at 6 PM in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.

Carole Shelley is a really sweet polite lady. I took my 80 year old mother to see the show a month ago and Carole was so nice to her, she talked and talked to her and posed for photos with her. What a gem of a person. I have so much respect for this kind lady.

Did you know that Carole Shelly (or actually her voice) has appeared in several Disney films? Read about her Disney career:

I'd love to see Carole as Grandma. I caught her last performance as Madame Morrible in Wicked and really enjoyed her performance.

She was also in the famous film from around 1966 - "The Odd Couple" starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. She was one of the Pigeon sisters - two young English women who come over to Oscar's and Felix's apartment one night to visit.

Not only did she play Gwendolyn Pigeon in the 1968 film with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, she also played the role in the Broadway show (1965) and the TV show (1970) with Tony Randall and Jack Klugman. I believe she's the only person to play the same role in all 3 versions.
