Very cool news!!! I suspect the extras will be on there, especially since there were only the two, I believe, right? Just Sir Elton's very short into and Elliott's backstage tour?

Extra's on the UK release are Elliott's backstage tour and a short behind the curtain documentary about the evolution of show from the film.

This link said the movie will be released as a Blu-ray/Digital HD combo pack. Does that mean there will be a Blu-ray disk and a regular DVD in the same package ? I was just interested in getting the regular DVD since I don't have a Blu-ray player.

Two separate discs, one that has the HD version of the movie on the BluRay disc, one that has the regular version on a DVD. The BluRay disc may, or may not, work in your dvd player, and via a computer dvd drive; the regular version will.

My understanding of this is that you will only get one disc, the Blu-ray version. But you will also be able to download the show too, through a link given in the package - that is what the "Digital HD" part of the description means. Please correct me if I'm wrong though! Hopefully the disc will also include the extras we had in Europe but the description does say, "No special features are included" .

Amazon.com has updated the artwork for the Billy Elliot the Musical Live Blu-ray and DVD and the Blu-ray artwork confirms that the disc has the same special as the European releases.
