10 year old Emily Hart from Surrey has been cast as a ballet girl. It was in my local newspaper and I can't find the article.
This was the closest I got.

It was in the Surrey Mirror:-

"Another pupil jumping for joy was 10 year old Emily Hart, who has beaten off thousands of other children to land a part in the West End musical Billy Elliot.

A school spokeswoman said "for those of you who have watched Emily perform, you will not be surprised by this news; however this is an amazing achievement - one which Emily truly deserves."

I think we all owe a big vote of thanks to the Ballet Girls that are leaving. They perfomed with enthusiasm and skill, such an integral part of the whole show. Best wishes.

I agree wholeheartedly. They are "the unsung heroes" of the show.

Saw a new team of ballet girls last night - they were great. Hard to believe it was only their 2nd show together. Few familiar faces among the girls. The Tracey Atkinson from previous Ashington team (I think) is still performing xxx
