I have to admit, it is an interesting choice. Much will depend upon whom they chose to cast it. There are so many young, talented actors out there, but I fear they will choose big names and big egos. They should go for the cast that will take it to Broadway. Youth, talent and fresh faces.

It would be perfect for Layton Williams.

Even though it is not my favorite musical, I thought they did a pretty good job with "The Wiz".

This story reports it was a big ratings win for NBC, handily beating "Peter Pan" and "Sound of Music".
