Chasing Rainbows, which had a successful first run last year in Flat Rock, NC, will next be mounted at Goodspeed this fall, ahead of a hoped for transfer to Broadway. Ruby Rakos has again been cast as the lead, Francis Gumm (aka Judy Garland).

Interestingly, when I tried to play the video on the site, I got a message that the video is private. Why would Playbill put a private video on its site?

I would imagine it was made private once it started to receive a large number of requests to view, courtesy of Playbill.

It looks like the link to that video has been removed from the Playbill.com webpage. Anyway, the main point of the article was the casting announcement.

Here's a great new promo video for the show. Ruby and the creative team talk about the storyline, and we get to hear Ruby sing bits of Judy's songs.
