Has anyone heard anything about the Thanksgiving/Christmas-time production of BETM in Phoenix?

They're using untraditional artwork for the publicity (which gives me pause).

Information from a Phoenix native would be helpful to speak to the quality of the shows at their regional theatre. The seats go from $36 to $81.

Looks like a smallish theatre.

I'm also leery of the fact that casting should have been announced by this time but a quick search got me nowhere.

And since I would be introducing a BillyVirgin to the BillyVerse, I am kinda twitchy.

So I'm asking for input before I pull the trigger.

Seth Judice, from the recent Beck Center, Lakewood, OH production, will play Billy in Phoenix.

There will be two Billys in Phoenix. Seth Judice will be joined by Matthew Dean, who just finished playing Billy in Rhode Island.

Phoenix Theatre’s “Billy Elliot” will star 13-year-old Seth Judice of Houston and 12-year-old Matthew Dean of San Jose. Both have already played the title role at other regional theater

I was kind of thinking just the opposite, actually. Seems like a number of Billys in the regional productions look like they're about 14 or 15 years old and are already singing in a lower register. The two lads who are in Phoenix look to be about the right age, in my opinion - about the same age as the Billys who were in London, Broadway, national tour, etc.
