Original BE movie dialogue question

(Is this the right place to post regarding the movie?)

It just aired again on one of my cable channels this afternoon.

What did Mr. B. say to BE in the scene where Billy finally managed to turn a pirouette without collapsing? (I couldn't make out his comment due to his accent. Mrs. W. corrects BE's arm but also smiles her approval of his accomplishment in this scene.)

I think this is the scene you refer to

Mrs W "What've I told you about that arm ............ right, back to the barre"

Mr B to BE "You look like a right w***er to me son"

Real Geordie wrote: "You look like a right w***er to me son"
I take it this was intended to be an expression of endearment (compliment)?

Nope. :D Quite the opposite. Mr. B in the movie isn't too much of a fan of ballet like he is in the musical.

Ahh, thanks for the explanation. The contradiction was confusing.
