Rhinebeck Theatre Society is excited to announce auditions for the musical Billy Elliot.

Based on the hit film, Billy Elliot: The Musical is set in Northern England during the 1984-85 Coal Miners’ Strike. While the town is consumed by the strike, Billy is surprised to find refuge in a local ballet studio, where he discovers an untapped passion for dance. With song titles like “Shine,” “Express Yourself,” and “Solidarity,” this story of self-discovery is sure to lift your hearts and spirits.

Rated PG-13 for language and mild sexual references. Please only bring your child to auditions if comfortable with this content.

Location: The CENTER for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck.

Performance Dates: June 19 - July 12, 2020. Friday & Saturday 8pm (Saturday July 4th at 3pm); Sunday 3pm.

Seeking: Actors, singers, dancers. Males & Females ages 6+.
Rhinebeck Theatre Society is seeking a diverse cast for this production. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
Rated PG-13 for language and mild sexual references. Please only bring your child to auditions if comfortable with this content.

Prepare / Bring:
- Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song either from or in the style of the show
- An accompanist will be provided. Please bring your own sheet music.
- Singing to tracks or a cappella will not be allowed.
- All roles are available for casting.
- Be prepared to list all possible rehearsal conflicts.
