Re: Auckland Theatre Company - New Zealand
This is fantastic news! If only it could become a springboard and encouragement to other regional professional productions in NZ and Australia.
As yet, there is no mention that a license has been issued by MTI, but that is not unusual.

There's no mention of the license being granted on the MTI site yet, but on the theatre's website it does say "Licensed exclusively by Music Theatre International (Australasia). All performance materials supplied by Hal Leonard Australia."kport wrote:As yet, there is no mention that a license has been issued by MTI, but that is not unusual.

Re: Auckland Theatre Company - New Zealand
Just an immediate thought. Could the license from the Australian production in 2008 and 2009 still be valid and may have included New Zealand right from the start?
Cheers

Indeed it could (or there could be another one issued from the London organisation to the NZ team, as has been the case with several EU productions). Perhaps such arrangements, agreed before the transfer of licensing business to MTI, were/are still valid.Brad wrote:Just an immediate thought.
