BETM second tour Minneapolis
I notice that the show does not perform on Xmas eve yet it does on Xmas Day. In Australia there are no performances on Good Friday and I was shocked to see in the UK that was a normal day.
But to perform on Xmas day in the US is another shock. Do they also do that in London?
Here is a link to the remainder of 2010 shows.

It's not unusual in the US. In fact, Christmas day is one of the most crowded days for movie theatres. I remember several years ago I wanted to see 'Lord of the Rings' on Christmas afternoon. I had trouble finding a parking place at the theatre complex and then was turned away due to it being sold out.andrewcraig wrote: But to perform on Xmas day in the US is another shock. As for London, according to the Victoria Palace Theatre website, there is no show on Christmas Day.

Re: BETM Minneapolis
American shows tend to have Christmas Eve off instead.

Re: BETM Minneapolis
Does anyone know when the last performance in Minneapolis will be? I thought it was the matinee performance on Jan. 9th. I was looking at this website http://billyelliottour.net/billy-elliot-minneapolis. It shows a 6:30 evening performance on the 9th but the actual theater website only shows a 1:00 performance. Does anyone know which is correct. I would assume the theater website would be correct.
Re: BETM Minneapolis
Eagerly looking forward to seeing the touring version of Billy Elliot in Minneapolis with great enthusiasm, as they obviously have a terrific lineup who seemingly have captured the hearts of audiences from Durham, to Cleveland thus far. They were supposedly to open this evening 12/16 up there, and trust they were able to truck everything from Lake Erie successfully to the Orpheum Theater. We had severe weather issues south of Lake Michigan earlier this week [lake effect snow], but hope they were able to overcome any problems it may have caused their traveling plans. I'm booked for three shows New Year's day weekend, so, that should be one helluva wonderful way to welcome in the New Year. For me, that will mean seeing the show in London, NYC, Chicago, and now Minneapolis within a span of less than a year. I never cease to be thrilled and moved with each succeeding production. Happy Holidays to all. Colin
