It's early, but for now I plan on staying at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Hartford. It appears to be the closest hotel to the threatre,

The hotel is also walking distance to Union Station, which is where the bus from the airport stops.

Thanks, Rich B. There's a facinating hotel five minutes walking distance further from the Bushnell called Residence Inn by Marriot. The rates (for old geezers like me  ) are only $134/night, and every room is a suite with full kitchen. Free internet and full buffet breakfast are included. This chain will even grocery shop for you, for only the cost of the food items purchased. There's a restaurant right next door featuring, for those of us who became addicted to BETM at the VPT, such food as fish & chips, and bangers and mash. (Now if they only served shepherd's pie.) I'm seriously considering staying there in June.

Addition: This hotel also has free shuttle service to places within a 5-mile radius, such as the Bushnell Center, which is about .8 miles distance by car.

Thanks for that info, John. That hotel didn't pop up on the list when I was searching. As you say, it's a little further than the Holiday Inn but offers more amenities. Definitely a possibility.

I'd love to go, but Hartford is not easy to get to from Ottawa. I don't really have the money to fly, and I don't have a car. And on Greyhound its like a 15 hour trip.
But I SO wanna go. It would be really cool to meet some of you finally!
Maybe I can look at renting a car.

I was at first tempted by that one - also full kitchens available and free breakfast/internet - but the prices are well over $200 per night. :(

Is anyone planning on going to the East Lansing run this week? I'm contemplating the 3.5 hour drive from Cleveland next weekend since this will be the last chance I'll have to drive to a show. I saw Ben in Boston, but really want to see the three other guys for the first time (and Ben too - he was fantastic).
