Coming to London..............
Re: Coming to London..............
I don't know...............
Coming in from the A40 to Victoria Coach station, one can see the VPT rising majestically amongst the ruins of construction around it..............one is minded of that famous photo of St Paul's Cathedral standing proudly against the bombs of the Luftwaffe.
In my eyes, the VPT has never stood so strong!

Your description reminds me of a song, Bill, one I think we are all familiar with.kport wrote:Coming in from the A40 to Victoria Coach station, one can see the VPT rising majestically amongst the ruins of construction around it..............one is minded of that famous photo of St Paul's Cathedral standing proudly against the bombs of the Luftwaffe.

You are going to have a wonderful time! See you soon.joninfinity wrote:I have wanted to come to London for most of my life, (that's a long time by the way) and with the motivation of seeing Billy Elliot, that will finally come true. I booked this trip 8 months ago, and now I'm only five days away.....

Re: Coming to London..............
In all of my experiences seeing this show in the states, the level of excitement rises in proportion to the number of fans present. With about 10 Americans arriving, along with fans from Switzerland, Holland, and who knows where else, I think all of us fans are in for a treat as we enjoy the energy of one another's company.Westletonion wrote:You will all be in for an enormous treat! Even in spite of the relative desolation the poor old Victoria Palace Theatre now finds itself.
With this kind of atmosphere building I am wondering what it is going to be like next year!

Re: Coming to London..............
I happened to find this area map on the VPT's website. It is easy to read and shows many of the interesting things to see within a 15 minute walk of the theatre.
