Nice to see the original gang of three at the birthday performance.
It is a great show that people do come and see. Because it's not
just a show for adults, or just for children, or just for people that
like theatre, I'd say for everyone, and it's got so much emotion
behind it. Because who ever comes and sees it, feels the story -
so I think: it's brilliant!" (GM)

Does anyone know if James appears in most "Dirty Dancing" performances as a swing ? Or is he only in selected shows (such as matinees only, etc.)

Swings are on call to fill in various tracks whenever other actors are out, so I don't think he would have any set days or performances that you could confirm as ones where you would see him. I saw your post in the thread about Ashley, so I suppose he could be taking some vacation time to do that show, but I know nothing about Hollyoaks to say whether he has appeared in that or not. But I suspect that is a different actor. The lead (the director) would be for an older actor, and our James now uses the last name Jacob-Lomas professionally, I suspect in order to differentiate himself from the other James Lomas.

I have just checked on IMDB, and James is listed as James Lomas II, there being another James Lomas I.

Not sure if he is still a swing or in the main company now

Yeah, I didn't figure it was the same James who we know from BETM, since it said the other one had been on a soap opera and I was pretty sure James had not done that. Just thought it was ironic that Ashley would be in the same show as someone by that name since he and James were a Billy-Michael "pair" back when they started.
