Since Tade is presumably on the VP stage making his West End debut as I write, I am now going to merge this thread with his original thread, which has been moved from the Broadway section to the London one.

There are always a few rumours floating around, Seán, but this wasn't one of them.

So, Tade gets to do a proper Angry Dance :D . I'm looking forward to that.

Tade is the Billy I saw on Broadway! He's brilliant and this is a great addition for the London show! Very exciting!

No, he's not. Trent Kowalik was the first.

Also, the Australian Billys played the role in their own country before coming over to the US to be Billy here. And the Billys who debuted in Chicago and then went on to Toronto also played the role full-time in two countries.

So Tade is far from being the first Billy to play the role in two different countries. :)

He is, however, the first American to play the role on Broadway and THEN on the West End (Trent did it in reverse) ;)

Wow, that was a surprise, wasn't it :D. Can't wait to see Tade perform on the VP stage! I wonder how difficult he found it picking up the London version of the show. Good luck to Tade and I hope he enjoys himself in London.

With all of the rumours, leaks, speculation and the like that normally surround the world of Billy Elliot the Musical, I think Tade and the whole London production deserves a 'Best Kept Secret Award'!
