Re: Kiril Kulish
Actually, you can see that his last pre-Billy dancesport competition was just days before the press event, in April 2008.

This is the ADULT Latin final a few weeks ago, in Palm Desert CA. They came in second (awards at very end).
They are introduced at 5:00. Good view of Nino's hips in action at 6:34. At 12:30 Kiril (whose name is spelled wrong) does a series of nice turns.
Here's the Under-21 Latin Final at the same competition, which they won (listed at end). Kiril is 18, Nino 15. Same dance routines.

Re: Kiril Kulish
Excellent! Thanks so much for the video links! I think it's easy to see why Kiril and Nino are winners.

To go along with the recent videos featuring former Billys and Michaels with their adult voices, here's a promo piece put together for the upcoming performance of "Loving the Silent Tears," the show Sean refers to (above). It is Kiril's second show by the woman who calls herself Supreme Master. This video shows them recording the cast album. (If only there'd been one for the original Broadway Billy Elliot production! sigh... )

You see quick cuts of Kiril during the beginning, then at 0:48 he talks and then sings (an excerpt). My feeling is that the song is a little odd -- to each his own -- but his voice is great. He also sings the same song in Russian in the show.

So I gather there will be only one performance of the show, on October 27. Perhaps it will be streamed on the web as the last one was.

Re: Kiril Kulish
Thanks for that link phoebe. I have heard Kiril's adult speaking voice but have not heard him sing since he left the show 3 years ago. He does sound great.

The Facebook page for Loving the Silent Tears has a great picture of Kiril performing in the show:

Phoebe's calling this song a little odd is a huge understatement. The rest of the songs in this video are also "a little odd". I'm not sure what she is the "Supreme Master" of, but it sure isn't good music.phoebe wrote:To go along with the recent videos featuring former Billys and Michaels with their adult voices, here's a promo piece put together for the upcoming performance of "Loving the Silent Tears," the show Sean refers to (above).
