January 5 (Thursday) performance cancelled.

Post by johnnyc »

I just received a call from Telecharge advising that the Thursday January 5 performance of BETM has been canceled. They are refunding my ticket. Now, I have to redo my hotel arrangements, since there is no reason for me to fly to NYC on Thursday. Grrr...

I heard they have other shows in New York, some of which might be quite good. ;)

Looks like they just added a Wednesday evening show on the 4th instead. Seems kind of odd to be making all of these changes.

I am still going to NYC on Thursday. I checked "Lion King," and they have no show either on Thursday January 5. So I'm thinking of going to see "War Horse" that evening. Or. I could torture myself with a long, expensive, evening at The Met sleeping through "Faust." I suspect "War Horse" will win out. There are still good seats available for that production in Lincoln Center.

WAR HORSE is LASSIE COME HOME only with a horse. Still it is a spectacular production. But the story at the heart of that production is pretty mundane.

I have to disagree.

I saw War Horse in London and loved every minute of it.

Ditto. I think War Horse should be at the top of anyone's must-see list.
