I was coming to terms with the show closing, and then Tessa's sadness at the end of the video made everything so surreal. Is this really happening? When you love something so much, it almost feels as if it can never end. I fell in love with the show a year ago and didn't expect it to close on Broadway this soon.

But grief is part of the healing process, and one thing I will never lose is Billy's amazing story. The London and US tour productions are still running, and the show itself is so good that I'm sure talented artists will find new truth in it and unexpected ways of telling the story for years to come. Billy Elliot will go down as a classic of the musical theatre, and we will be able to say we were here at the beginning.
