Have been advised that this brilliant long-running show is to close on 27th Oct. If you haven't seen it yet would highly recommend you do before then.

Blood Brothers to close
Re: Blood Brothers to close
Sad news, after 24 years and the West End's third longest running musical.
I can only echo what Pat has said, if you haven't seen this brilliant show, then I would also highly recommend you do so before it closes on 27th October. There is a Blood Brothers tour which is going around the UK until 2013, but unfortunately there are no plans to extend the tour or transfer the London production to another theatre from The Phoenix (as previously rumoured) and the West End production will close.
Here are a few links to the story.

Re: Blood Brothers to close
So devastated to hear this news! I've been a fan of the show since I was about 9, and I've been lucky enough to perform in 2 (fairly amateur, admitedly) productions of it. Fantastic fun and a great show.
Re: Blood Brothers to close
This is indeed sad news. Blood Brothers may not have been my favorite show but it has been the first West End show I ever saw and it was the one that introduced me to the wonderful world of musical theatre. I enjoyet that performance 15 years ago very much and it will always hold a special place in my heart

I had to go see this one more time on Friday evening. It is as brilliant as ever, as emotional as ever. Big audience, standing ovation at the end for about 4 curtain calls. It was my first ever West End Show, too, a very long time ago.

It really is a great show. It's got everything you need to create a perfect Great British musical. Luckily the UK tour is stopping at my place next week, so I'll get a bit of it then, even if it's not the West End experience!
London: Harris x2, Adam x1, Kaine x1.
