Music Theater Works in Chicago announces their 2020 season, with BETM scheduled for December 26 - January 3.

According to the theatre's website, the opening date is slightly altered:
Dec. 22nd 2020 - Jan. 3rd 2021.

Thanks for noting that, Kport. I wonder if the 22nd might be a typo, as this page on their site says the 26th.
Guess we'll have to wait and see as the date gets closer.

"Billy Elliot," which was originally slated for the December slot, has now been moved to the 2021 season.

Picking through clues here - but this seems to indicate that BETM will be produced in December, 2021, by Music Theatre Works in a new and much larger venue in Skokie, the North Shore Centre, with 867 seats.

The final new regional BETM production of 2021 opens with a press night on Thursday night (23-Dec-2021) in Skoki, Illinois (just north of Chicago). It's being presented by Music Theater Works at the Northshore Center for the Performing Arts and will run though January 2, 2022. Learn more here:
