The Toledo Ballet's public Facebook had this post today:
"Billy Elliot was amazing last night, and TB's Q & A with cast members was so much fun! Cast members included Michael, Billy's best friend, one of the four boys who plays Billy, a young company dancer and men who play coal miners as well as Susan Haefner, who conducted our master class. Thanks, Lisa, for arranging the class and Q & A!!"

Re: Toledo, OH
Again, as with Memphis, we seem to have a sad lack of reviews for the show, so there is no Reviews thread yet, but I hope we can start one soon.

And it's one worth waiting for -- generally very, very positive. The writer is an intern, not a professional theatre critic. He doesn't mention any of the names of the show's actors or creative members, the set or lighting. But it's a very heartfelt, genuine piece from someone who obviously very thoroughly enjoyed the show and is highly recommending it to Toledo audiences.BEtourfan wrote:Here's one.

"Last night I had the privilege to see one of the most amazing, moving, heartfelt pieces of theater that I think I have ever witnessed."
AND
"This is a truly inspiring piece of art that is uplifting and powerful. Promoting family, individuality and so much more, audience members will leave the show feeling inspired and uplifted. There are not enough words to describe how remarkable this show really is. Audience members were raving that this is one of the best shows they have ever seen! There is a reason why this show has won 81 different awards which includes an astonishing 10 Tony Awards® (including the coveted, Best Musical award).
All I can say is that if you have not seen Billy Elliot yet, you need to."

Re: Toledo, OH
What a beautiful review by Scott McGorty. I have never seen a review quite like it. So personal, so heartfelt, so moving. He more than enjoyed the show he” loved” it, and will carry it with him for some time to come. I would not doubt that he returns to see it again before it leaves. Maybe he will become a Forum member.
